Description:
The hugely popular BlackRock Masters Tennis tournament, now in its twelfth year, is staged at the iconic venue of the Royal Albert Hall, London from the 2-7 December 2008.
Former Champions of the game such as John McEnroe, Goran Ivanisevic and Stefan Edberg will be fighting it out, so make sure you are there to see who be crowned Champion of Champions. Pete Sampras is also officially confirmed to be competing in this year’s line-up! The legend whom retired from the professional tour whilst he was still world No1, will be making his first appearance in London since his last Wimbledon in 2002.
This tournament offers the perfect combination of drama, tension and skill with competitive singles and entertaining doubles matches taking place each session.
The doubles event is more relaxed but still makes for compelling viewing, with wonderful displays from crowd favourites Henri Leconte, Mansour Bahrami, Pat Cash and a host of other legends of the game.
