Then take a punt to explore the Backs (the so-called backs of the colleges) from the River Cam, taking in the Wren Library and the delightful covered Bridge Of Sighs (named after the one in Venice). The beauty of its ancient centre is preserved with its walkable medieval streets, college courts, gardens and bridges.
