London to Bath GroupSave Train Tickets

Description:

Bath is set in rolling Somerset countryside just over 100 miles west of London and 86 minutes by train, and is probably one of England's most beautiful and unforgettable places to visit.

The mineral-rich natural spring feeds the world-famous Roman Baths which gave this beautiful city its name. During the summer, the Roman Baths are open until late so you can explore by flickering torchlight and avoid the crowds.

Lunch or tea at the Pump Room – regarded as the social heart of Bath for more than two centuries – is an event in itself and will give you the chance to taste the Spa Water, which contains 43 minerals and has rather an unusual taste. Treat yourself to a Sally Lunn bun at the oldest refreshment house, c1483.

Other sights include the Assembly Rooms, the elegant public rooms at the heart of fashionable 18th-century society, the Jane Austen Centre, the sublime architecture of the Royal Crescent and the Fashion Muse.
